Active Members: Life Changes

Although Open Enrollment gives you an opportunity to make changes to your SHBP coverage each year, life changes also present opportunities to make changes to your SHBP coverage. If you are an eligible employee not currently enrolled in SHBP coverage, Active Member, Former Employee enrolled in State Extended Coverage, or COBRA Participant, and you experience a Qualifying Event or Special Enrollment Event during the Plan Year (January 1 – December 31), you may be eligible to enroll or make a change to your SHBP coverage that is consistent with changes in your life.
