Invitation for Proposals Released on February 12, 2024 for Georgia Department of Community Health Medicare Advantage Procurement

The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), State Health Benefit Plan Division, has issued a Medicare Advantage (MA) Plan Invitation for Proposals (IFP) on February 12, 2024, for response by interested parties. The State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) is responsible for administration of the health insurance coverage for state employees, public school teachers and employees, retirees who elected coverage (including annuitants and former employees on extended coverage), and covered dependents. The SHBP Division is seeking a highly qualified Medicare Advantage organization(s) that will support access to quality and affordable health care while improving outcomes for SHBP's Medicare-eligible populations, currently numbering more than 130,000 covered lives.

Selected organization(s) will deliver services that include, at minimum, managing the fully-insured MA Prescription Drug plan design, claims processing and oversight, member services, maintenance of a robust network of providers, supporting clinical programs and medical management programs, compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services rules and regulations, and focusing on high-quality star rating.

This public notice is not a formal invitation for proposals but is issued for informational and awareness purposes only for highly qualified healthcare vendors to prepare to participate if they choose. If you are interested in responding to this Invitation for Proposal, please submit an email to [email protected]. Please note, organizations are required to return a formal Letter of Intent to bid in order to gain access to the official IFP documentation.

The period for submission of a formal Letter of Intent closed as of February 19, 2024 at 5:00pm.
