Active Members: Eligible Dependents
SHBP covers dependents who are eligible for coverage due to their relationship with the member pursuant to federal and state laws, the State of Georgia Rules & Regulations governing the SHBP, and the Eligibility & Enrollment Provisions.
For Active Members, New Hires, and Newly Eligible Employees, Eligible Dependents include Spouses and the following Dependent Children up to age 26:
- Natural Child
- Adopted Child
- Child Due to Legal Guardianship
- Stepchild
